INFORMATION ABOUT ORAI

Orai is a city and a municipal board in Jalaun district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is the district headquarter for Jalaun District which is part of Jhansi division. Because of its proximity to Industrial city Kanpur, This city has already seen a good growth in Industrial area and going forwad to become an industrial hub after Kanpur.

City has historical value because of its location, which is between Jhansi, Mahoba and Kalpi. Orai is located midway between the cities of Kanpur and Jhansi and lies on National Highway 25 which is soon going to be a part of East-West corridor of the NHAI Project.

The city of Orai was named after the sage Rishi Uddhalak and was earlier known as Uddhalak Nagari.
